Keep The Weeds Out

I have been working in my flower beds, getting them ready for their new growth this summer. Pulling out the weeds and adding new soil. Planting and watering the seeds and flowers. Just in a few days weeds were back again, there is no end to the weeds. I really believe they grow faster than the flowers. It seem that is what I do all summer is pull out weeds. If I didn't keep the weeds out, they would choke and take over the flowers.

What about our walk with the Lord, do we spend as much time making sure our heart is free of weeds as we do taking care of our gardens.

Your Word have I hidden in my heart, that I may not sin against You.

Psalms 119:11

Fill your heart with the Word. Believe every word in the Bible. Plant those precious promises of God's Word in your heart and life. As you study and quote them over and over, your faith will grow.

Water the seed everyday with praises and adoration.

I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall be continually in my mouth.

Psalms 34:1

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His Name.

Heb. 13:15

God inhabits the praises of His people. The Word and praise is life to your soul and will help keep the weeds out, but we have to do our part. We have to guard our heart very carefully. You have to keep the weeds out.

The enemy wants your heart full of weeds, some of them are bitterness, anger, blasphemies, hatred, unforgiveness, doubt, fear, unbelief, discouragement, jealousy, gossip, worry, discord with one another, and all other works of the enemy.

If your heart has any weeds in it. They grow fast like the weeds in your garden but more dangerous. They will keep choking out the Word of God until they take over .That is Satan's plan to take over your heart. You are the only one who can stop him.

That's going to take some diligence on your part, no one else can do it for you. You have to weed your own crop. When a little weed springs up, kill it. Pull it by the roots. Spray it with the Word of God over and over until it dies.

Keep your heart with all diligence For out of it springs the issue of life.

Prov. 4:23
